Overview
ShotPrep does not track you, sell your data, or require an account. Your gear inventory lives in your iCloud account or on your device — it never passes through our servers.

What We Collect

| Camera | ShotPrep uses your camera to scan barcodes and QR codes on your gear. Camera access is used only when you initiate a scan. No images are stored or transmitted. |
| Photo Library | When you attach a photo to a gear item or upload a studio logo for labels, ShotPrep accesses only the specific image you select. No broad library access is requested. |
| iCloud / CloudKit | Your gear inventory, bags, templates, and pack sessions sync across your iCloud-linked devices via Apple's CloudKit private database. This data is stored in your own iCloud account. Piñero Photography LLC has no access to it. |
| Local Network | Collaborative pack sessions use Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework to connect directly to a nearby device over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. No data is routed through external servers. |
| Device Storage | App settings such as label size, brand name, and onboarding state are stored locally on your device via UserDefaults. |
What We Don't Collect
ShotPrep collects none of the following:
- Analytics or usage data
- Advertising identifiers
- Location data
- Contacts or address book
- Crash reporting SDK data
- Account or email address
iCloud Sync
Synced data is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's privacy terms. We cannot access, read, or modify it.
Collaborative Sessions
Session data — pack item check states and bag scan events — passes directly between devices on your local network using Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework. It is not transmitted to Piñero Photography LLC or any third party.
Children's Privacy
ShotPrep is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
Material changes to this privacy policy will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
